LETTERFRACK
Beautiful Letterfrack village is in the heart of Connemara. The entrance to Connemara National Park is based in the village leading to over 2,000 hectares of rugged mountain walks, lakes and bogs teaming with wildlife, birds and rare plant life. This thriving little village is home to Letterfrack Furniture College an internationally renowned furniture design college. Those in the know will have heard of the 'Letterfrack chair'. An exhibition of furniture is open to the public every summer and is well worth a visit.

There is plenty of life in the village well known as one of the most musical in the area. You never know when you might come across a session of traditional music in one of the pubs. Two of the villages three pubs serve seafood and high quality cuisine or for a superb culinary experience you could try 'Pangur Ban' award winning thatch restaurant also based in the village. If you would prefer to cook for yourself go to Veldons new shop in the village, where you will find everything you need.
There is a tea-room in the National Park which is open from Easter to October. The College Café is great for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as takeaway or a game of pool. Well as being the starting point for sea cruises and fishing trips on the ‘Queen of Connemara’.
