Clifden

Clifden Bay

Clifden, the capital of Connemara is a pretty, bustling market town nestled between the mountains and the sea. The town has a great selection of good pubs and restaurants as well as a new night club Club J.C. at Nimmos bar. The town is well known for its live traditional Irish music which can be found in various pubs as well as two nights a week in the Town Hall during the summer.
Clifden draws people for shopping all year round both locals and tourists for essentials as well as treats from designer clothing at the Station House, to beautiful paintings at the various art galleries in the town, antiques and high quality craft work from several shops around the town. Clifden is a great place to spend a day wandering from shop to shop picking up gifts for friends and family at home as well as a few treats for you.
